About Me

Hi, I’m Polly! While completing an undergraduate degree in contemporary music, I became increasingly involved in ministering to young people. Then, after working as an in-school speaker for a Christian charity, I decided to become an English and music teacher. I soon found myself in school’s ministry, which combined my love for education and gospel proclaimation. I continued to complete a Theological degree and then began work as a high school chaplain. I was ordained in the Anglican church in Sydney in 2020 and have gone on to study further to contribute to the academic conversation around school chaplaincy. I am particularly interested in understanding how to preach to youth in different contexts. In 2025, I released the book “The Mythical Life of the Good Christian Girl: Realising True Freedom in Christ,” which centres around the gospel’s message of grace amidst pressures of perfectionism and religious performance. I’m married to James, a maths teacher with Labrador energy who loves cats, and I spend my free time with loved ones and creating things.
